Very scarce French coin provenance : The Rive d’Or (a mistranslation of “Bank Gold”) Collection was a massive hoard of gold coins held by a Paris bank and released through a US dealer in 2008. The accumulation contained mostly US gold coins, but also included Australian sovereigns and other world coins. The coins were allegedly accumulated by the bank during and after World War II.
