According to the book “Essais monétaires et piéforts Français”:

Trial without the word “ESSAI.” The diameter is slightly smaller than the standard reference diameter of 17 mm, while the weight is slightly heavier. The date corresponds to that of the trial issue. This Trial was recorded by Gérard Petit, who in 1973 described it as unique. To date, only two examples are known. One example was sold at the VSO XXIII (CGB) auction, lot 2108, graded SPL 63, and realized €5,300 against an estimate of €6,215. The second example is held in a private collection.
