Splendid coin with a beautiful iridescent “rainbow” patina. Very fine luster.

Obverse: Head of Diana Planciana facing right, wearing a petasos. She is adorned with earrings and a pendant necklace.

Reverse: The goat Amalthea walking to the right. Behind her, a bow and a quiver.

The Goat of Amalthea: Amalthea was a nymph and her goat a wild Cretan creature. She was the nurturing goddess of the god Jupiter.
