The tragic September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in the United States was marked by the collapse of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.

This coin originated from the Twin Towers. A few months after the tragedy, recovery teams reached the lower levels and basements, where they discovered vaults containing investment coins from more than 10 countries.
