    Ex-Redfield. LaVere Redfield (1897-1974) became a shrewd investor after a childhood spent in poverty. With his wealth, he acquired bags of Morgan dollars for decades and hid them behind a false wall in his house. Upon his death, the “Redfield Hoard” was sold and disseminated in the late 1970s.
