    The territory of Lignières-en-Berry is rich in monetary treasures, witnesses of a fascinating historical past. Since the 1970s, several deposits of ancient and royal coins have been discovered, including a Roman treasure at La Bergerie and another at La Brande de Feuilloux.

    But one of the most intriguing finds remains the treasure of Saint-Thibaut, unearthed in 1981. Made up of 520 silver coins minted under Louis XV, this treasure raises many questions: is it a religious deposit of the monks of the neighboring hermitage or the reserve of a traveling merchant?
