  • Pedigree :

    Provenance: 1715 Fleet shipwreck.

Coin delivered with its certificate attesting to its provenance from the 1715 Fleet.

On the night of July 31, 1715, a fleet of 11 Spanish galleons loaded with treasures accumulated over several years from the Americas and the East sank off the coast of Florida.

After numerous attempts to recover the treasure, the first major discovery occurred in the 1960s, followed by additional recoveries over the years. The treasure of the 1715 Fleet is considered one of the most prestigious shipwreck treasures in the world. Coins recovered from this treasure are highly sought after by collectors.
