An extremely rare variety without the horse’s head privy mark on the obverse. Furthermore, all examples currently recorded share the same distinctive error in the royal legend, reading “LOUIS XVIN”, indicating that they were struck from the same obverse die.
PCGS certified AU 50. Very high grade.
