  • Pedigree :

Salvaged from the “La Auguste” (sunk in 1761 off Nova Scotia, Canada).

Under British orders to carry exiles back to France after the end of the Seven Years War, the former Privateer ship “Auguste” was caught by bad weather and wrecked off Cape Breton. Carrying the life savings of many passengers, the ship contained considerable amounts of gold and silver, later recovered in the 1970’s and consisting of hundreds of foreign coins and artifacts.

    Delivered with original certificate.
