Pedigree :
Provenance: Attributed to the Rue Mouffetard Treasure.
The coin was sold by CGB on 3 June 2025, realizing a hammer price of €661 (excluding buyer’s fees), with a maximum recorded bid of €726.
According to the pedigree published by CGB, this specimen originates directly from the Rue Mouffetard Treasure(Bourgey sale, Louis heirs). CGB further notes that the more pronounced wear on the obverse is explained by the coin having been mounted as a cufflink after its sale by Bourgey. The specimen was sold without its original envelope.
The coin was subsequently resold by MDC Monaco on 4 July 2026, achieving a hammer price of €800 (excluding buyer’s fees), and was likewise attributed to the Rue Mouffetard Treasure.
