Previously cleaned, with a few handling marks in the fields. A very attractive example, displaying even and well-balanced wear.

Extremely rare “NVA” variety instead of “NAV” for the 1786 AA issue, Metz Mint. This variety is considerably rarer than the 1788 H, La Rochelle issue, which is also known with the “NVA” legend error.

This is the first time we have offered an example of this variety for sale.

An exceptionally rare legend error.
